Path of Life Counseling Welcomes You

Specializing in Telehealth Counseling and Consulting Services

~ Current Waitlist for New Clients ~

Who I Am

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. After exploring various careers, I found my calling when I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2014. I received my degrees from Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia. After being awarded a Masters of Science in Education in 2006, my first career was teaching middle school. I then returned to ODU to earn an Education Specialist degree in School Counseling and Mental Health in 2011. I provide a comprehensive set of services to help boost your confidence and offer support as you navigate your personal goals. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Attachment Theory, Biblical-based approaches, and Emotional Freedom Techniques integrated, in order to achieve measurable results that allow clients to push forward with a new, positive mindset. While I do believe that true healing and understanding comes from God through Christ, if clients do not desire for Scriptural or faith based interventions to be a part of their work, it is not included. Please browse my services and get in touch if you are interested in working with me.

FAQ

How do I schedule an appointment?

Simply email me through the Contact link above or the Get In Touch section below. I will respond to set up a free, 15-minute phone consult and schedule your first session if you decide to start this Telehealth journey with me.

Will my health insurance cover therapy?

I only accept Aetna, Anthem, and Tricare insurance plans.
I also have cash-pay options for clients seeking therapy who have other plans or no insurance. If you would like to submit to your insurance for reimbursement, I can provide a statement of services.

What are the session fees?

With insurance:
Your co-pay, co-insurance, or the insurance allowable toward your deductible for the appointment would be charged. Calling your insurance customer service will be the best way to know your coverage, copayment, and deductible specific to your plan prior to scheduling your appointments.

Cash-pay Counseling and Virtual Consulting:
$125/ initial session
$75/ 30 minute session
$150/ 60 minute session
$375 / Pre-pay for six 30 minute sessions (does not include the initial session)
$750 / Pre-pay for six 60 minute sessions (does not include the initial session)

On-site Consulting or Team Training:
Based on needs, distance, and length of time.

How do I pay for sessions?

Convenient payment is available through PayPal, Cash App, and Venmo.
All payments are due prior to sessions.

Can I still work with you even if I live outside of Virginia?

Because I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia, I can only work with clients who have a legal residence in the state of Virginia and have insurance based in the state of Virginia (if you are using insurance). If you are out of town for an extended period, but maintain a residence and insurance in Virginia, I could continue to work with you!
Contacting your insurance customer service is the best way to verify your coverage for services and is ultimately the responsibility of the client.
